Project Engineer – Cork

BPE provides Project Management and Engineering Design Services to the Pharmaceutical and Life Science Sectors in Ireland. As a company we specialize in the design and delivery of process-driven projects up to €100 million in capital value.

Due to continued growth and expansion we are seeking to hire a Project Engineer. This position will be based onsite with our valued client.

We require an experienced professional from the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector.

WHAT YOU WILL BE INVOLVED IN

-Maintain project records, calculations, assumptions in line with site procedures.

-Plans, executes and tracks the progress of the project through the design phases and ensures that the key deliverables as per the client standard are adhered to.

-Works on own initiative and highlights potential design issues with proposals.

-Familiar with ATEX directive and demonstrated use of same on projects.

-Awareness of EU Safety Directives and demonstrated use of same on projects.

-Awareness of the PED directive and demonstrated use of same on projects.

-Ability to deal with contractor and equipment vendor queries in a timely manner.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

– 4+ years process / project management experience with a degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.

– Chartered Engineer an advantage but not a requirement.

– Must have a good appreciation for designing systems within a GMP environment.

–  Must have a thorough understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, industry practices and standards.

– Must be able to provide solutions to moderately complex to semi-routine problems.

– Must have the ability to recognise deviations from accepted practice as required.

– Must be able to apply knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

– Must be able to exercise judgement within generally well-defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

– Normally receives no instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments.

– Strong verbal, technical writing, project management and interpersonal skills are required.
